"I have a crescent shaped pond up to 5ft wide. This seemed the best solution to fish protection but I needed to cover all the surface. Some tying down at the edges will be needed to prevent hungry herons moving bits of plastic. Whilst the plastic floats I would prefer even more buoyancy when the water level is low."

"We had always netted our pond but decided to try these floating pond guards. Put them into our pond as per the instructions and two days later all 22 fish had gone. They may protect from crows etc but certainly not herons unfortunately."

"I have yet to fit the Pondguard to the pond, so I cannot yet comment on whether it will offer adequate protection from herons etc. I found the plastic clips very stiff and difficult to fit at first - it took me over 5 minutes to fit one clip! However, with the help of a pair of circlip pliers, I found it easier and so far have connected the rings into pairs. The next stage is to connect the pairs of rings together at the pond-side, so I hope I do not drop any of the clips into the pond when I am fixing them onto the rings............"
