"Ich kann diesen Insektenfänger nicht empfehlen. Und für Personen mit Spinnenphobie schon mal gleich gar nicht. Der Haltestab besteht aus 2 Plastikröhrchen, die ineinandergesteckt werden. Diese fallen auseinander, sobald man den Stab senkrecht hält. Das untere Röhrchen fällt einfach raus. Sehr schön, wenn man gerade eine große Spinne gefangen hat. Alles fällt runter - na super! Wir mussten den Stab zunächst einmal mit Tape befestigen, so dass er halbwegs stabil ist. Die Länge von 40 cm ist nicht sehr lang, gerade mal etwas länger als ein Schullineal. Der Begriff "armlength" wie es in der Beschreibung heißt und auch auf der Packung steht, trifft es ganz und gar nicht. Bezieht sich wohl auf Kinderarme ... Hat man die Spinne dann mit diesem Klappergestell (billigstes, sprödes Plastik!) gefangen, muss man das ganze Konstrukt so drehen (mit der Spinne drin!), dass die Klappe von oben zufällt. Kurz: man muss schon ganz schön lange rumdoktorn, bis man die Spinne sicher in diesem kleinen Kästchen hat. Und bitte ja beim Raustragen diesen Plastikschrott so tragen, dass die Klappe nicht wieder aufgeht, also schön mit der Öffnung nach oben. Ich schicke es nur nicht zurück, weil es kaum Alternativen auf dem Markt gibt. Das Konkurrenzprodukt Snapy ist tausendmal besser - nur eben für große Spinnen leider nicht geeignet. Hier wiederum passen - theoretisch - auch große Spinnen rein. Fazit: schlecht verarbeitet, wackelige, instabiles Konstrukt. Erfolg nur bei größter Sorgfalt und guten Nerven vorhanden."

"Eine sehr fragile Angelegenheit, dünnes Plastik, schon beim Einsetzen des Stiels ist der Stecker des "Aufnehmers" angebrochen. Konnte ich aber mit Sekundenkleber wieder richten, bei dem Preis war mir das Reklamieren zu umständlich. Habe noch keine Spinne damit gefangen, ich schätze sie sind schon alleine durch die Anschaffung des Gerätes alleine mächtig abgeschreckt ;-) Allerdings fürchte ich, dass es nicht lange halten wird, da meine Tochter wahrscheinlich bei der 1. Spinne recht panisch versuchen wird, das Ding über die Spinne drüberzupuffen."

"It should have a handle extension, and you should be able to operate the door by having a concentric tube as rotational lever operating the door.The lever and supporting tubes would have to be at the edge of the housing. This way you dont have to get so close to the enemy. Better than the suction and the soft brush systems."
